Origin

"CONWEST PRIVATE LIMITED" was incorporated in March 1947, with the object of dealing in Motor Vehicle Parts and Accessories. Their Regd. Office is at Ness Baug Annexe III, Nana Chowk, Mumbai 400 007. Conwest was formed by the amalgamation of two Partnership Firms; Continental Auto Stores and Western Automobiles; to form a single Corporate Body. The name "CONWEST" is coined by taking first few alphabets from both the amalgamated Companies, namely "CON" and "WEST". The Company now has branches at: Ahmedabad, Rajkot (Navagam), Indore, Raipur, Wadi, Ambegaon, Aurangabad and Kolhapur (Shiroli).

Our Business

Conwest Pvt Ltd. was one of the largest importers of Automobile Components, which were marketed nationwide. We were the Jobbers of M/s.General Motors (USA) covering spares of all GM Vehicles in India. After M/s.General Motors India Ltd. closed their operations in India, Conwest Pvt Ltd. was appointed as a Distributor of M/s.General Motors Overseas Corpn., New York, USA. Then came the economic upheaval; category of established importers was removed and the Company's import operations came to a close, however, the Company had also taken franchises of indigenous products and commenced active marketing of these brands.

Management Team

Continental Auto Stores had two Partners, Mr.Nathalal J.Doshi and Mr.RatilalA.Doshi and Western Automobiles had two Partners, Mr.Rasiklal P.Sheth and Mr.Jamnadas P.Sheth. All the four were the founder members of the new Company. Mr.N.J.Doshi and Mr.R.P.Sheth, one partner each from the partnership firms were the Managing Directors of Conwest Private Limited. The current Board consists of Directors Mr.Vinod N. Doshi, Mr.Kishor J.Sheth and Mr.Sunil V. Doshi. Mr.Vinod N.Doshi is the Chairman of the Board. Mr.Karan S Doshi is the Chief Executive.

The Company began building itself by expanding its marketing base and in the process expanded its branches and product range periodically.

Conwest commenced marketing indigenous products just after the changes introduced in the import category and thereafter, Franchises of varied Engine and Chassis Components were added in the Company's product profile, which are all brand leaders in their own right.

Benevolence

Conwest Charitable Trust was formed in the year 1961. Substantial monetary donations are regularly being given to The Jain Clinic, which was subsequently renamed Conwest Jain Clinic Group of Hospitals. A new extension of this Hospital has been named as Conwest Building. Besides this, the company has established Conwest Charitable Trust through which we work on helping our community.
